The Launch of Ugatuzi na Usawa:

Bila Ufisadi Project

This two-year pilot project applies feminist Approaches
to tackling corruption and promoting women’s
engagement in governance. Funded by the Global Fund
for Women through collaboration of Women In
Development (CWID), the project aims to empower
young Women as anti-corruption champions and
position them as leaders in governance processes.
Under this project We;

Engaged CSOs, government
movements to align 1
officials, and grassroots
governance priorities.

Supported young women from
2 the Young Urban women
movement in developing and
submitting memoranda advocating
for gender-responsive budgeting in
Mombasa County.

Trained 20 young women
in public finance 3
management and budget
tracking

Contributed to the analysis of
the Office of the Controller of
4 Budget Report in Mombasa,
leading to a county-level
petition for financial
transparency
