1 YOUTH AND GOOD GOVERNANCE

Good governance is foundational to sustainable development and we remain committed to fostering
systems that are transparent, inclusive and accountable. Guided by SDG 16, which promotes peaceful
and inclusive societies, justice and strong institutions, as well as Aspiration 3 of Agenda 2063, envisioning
an Africa rooted in democracy and good governance, we actively engage young people in shaping
governance processes.

In 2024, we were deeply involved in advocating for youth inclusion and good governance at both regional
and national levels across Africa. Our efforts focused on ensuring that young people are not only
participants but also key drivers of governance, decision-making and development processes. We actively
engaged in a variety of policy discussions, consultations and forums, collaborating with governments,
civil society organizations and international partners.
