In her role, Winifred provides strategic leadership, oversees organizational management and operations, and drives the mission of empowering youth and young women to reach their full potential. With her expertise and dedication, we are confident in her ability to lead AYT towards continued success in positively impacting young people’s lives.

Her extensive experience and commitment to gender equality make her an exceptional fit for the position.

As Executive Director, Winifred aims to unify diverse youth and young women’s voices, championing their inclusion in social, economic, and political development. She takes pride in AYT’s impactful work in gender equality, including coordinating initiatives to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls in the informal sectors of Mombasa and Nairobi. Winifred has also played a pivotal role in leading the Young Urban Women’s Movement, a global advocacy platform for improved policies on bodily integrity and economic security.
