15th July 2023, Saturday – On this International Youth Skills Day, we are proud to highlight the transformative impact of the Shared Futures project by Africa Youth Trust (AYT). Aligned with this year’s theme of “Skilling teachers, trainers, and youth for a transformative future,” Shared Futures is equipping young entrepreneurs in Kenya with essential skills and resources to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Through targeted training, mentorship, and seed capital, Shared Futures has empowered over 1,000 young individuals in Kwale and Mombasa counties to unleash their entrepreneurial potential. These talented youth have embraced the challenges of building successful businesses, creating innovative solutions, and contributing to local economic growth.

🛵 A team of enterprising young men saw an opportunity in their area and decided to launch a motorbike taxi business. With their reliable and efficient services, they have become a preferred mode of transportation for many, helping people reach their destinations conveniently and safely.

She took the bold step of opening her own hairdressing salon, where she not only creates stunning hairstyles but also empowers others by employing three young individuals, providing them with opportunities for growth and success.
